Alderys, a Paris-based biotech company, designs yeast strains and processes for the industrial production of chemicals by fermentation addressing various markets. Since its inception in 2011, the Company has contracted 6 partnerships with industry-leading players and developed several products.

A non-GMO yeast strain for a food application and a production process for glutathione used in pharma and food have been industrialized. A fermentation process for the aroma chemical acetoin is currently being industrialized. Two other projects including the production of L-methionine for feed, and an undisclosed aromatic chemical are close to industrialization. Three other projects are in progress.

Alderys is also present in the recombinant protein field. Alderys has developed a set of specific tools that enable the generation of high protein titers in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a technology that was successfully deployed for different feed enzymes.
