VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd is a non-profit limited liability company providing research and innovation services to diverse industries.

VTT has a long history of the biotechnological production of proteins. Traditionally this meant producing industrial enzymes such as cellulases in Trichoderma reesei under inducible native promoters. In this presentation, we highlight major advances in expanding our protein production portfolio. Our new inducer independent expression system enables the production of target proteins with minimal background and swapping production organisms. Together with advanced protease deficient production strains, this has enabled us to rapidly expand our product range to encompass therapeutic-, food- and material proteins, and peptides from various origins. Cellulases are also still in the spotlight, with our novel on-site manufacturing processes bringing major cost advantages. Whatever your protein and application, VTT has a solution for you!
